Daily Servings of Microgreens

Microgreens are an incredibly nutrient-dense way to ensure you're meeting your daily vegetable requirements. Research shows they contain 4 to 40 times more nutrients than their fully grown counterparts, making them a powerful addition to any diet.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), only 1 in 10 adults consume enough servings of fruits and vegetables daily.

The American Heart Association recommends:
5 servings of vegetables per day for adults
1-3 servings per day for children

Adult Recommendations:
A serving of live microgreens is approximately 25 grams (0.88 oz).
To meet the daily recommendation of 5 servings, consume 125 grams (4.4 oz) or about 1 cup of microgreens.

Children Recommendations:
Children are advised to eat between 1 and 3 servings of vegetables daily, depending on age.
A serving of live microgreens is also 25 grams (0.88 oz).
For 3 servings, children should consume 75 grams (2.6 oz) or 3 tablespoons to 1/2 cup daily.

Storage Instructions

Cut Microgreens (Clippings):
Store the clippings in an airtight container or resealable bag.
Keep in the refrigerator, away from the back or bottom where freezing may occur.

Dehydrated Microgreens:
Dehydrated microgreens can last up to 8-10 years when stored properly.
Keep them in a cool, dry place, away from heat and humidity, to maintain their shelf life.
